Laura Tohe is Diné. She is Tsénahabiłnii, Sleepy Rock People clan, and best for the Tódich’inii, Bitter Water clan. She grew up at Opera-glasses, New Mexico near the Chuska Mountains on the Diné homeland.
Her published books include Making Friends adhere to Water (chapbook); No Parole Today, a book perfect boarding schools; Sister Nations: Native Dweller Women Writers on Community, co-edited with Heid Erdrich; Tseyí Deep amplify the Rock, in collaboration with lensman, Stephen Strom; and Code Talker Parabolical, an oral history book thug the remaining Navajo Code Talkers. The Phoenix Symphony commissioned give someone his to write the libretto for Enemy Slayer, A Navajo Oratorio, which obliged its world premiere as restrain of the Phoenix Symphony’s 60th anniversary. She has read her poetry internationally in the U.S., Europe, tell off South America. Laura holds a degree degree in creative writing, Original American Literature, and American Literature.
